Gettin’ my religion on this weekend. I’m trying to fully assimilate myself into at least 3 different congregations this weekend as a part of a performance/installation piece I’m working on.
Starting out with Shabbat at the Orthodox Synagogue Adath Israel in San Francisco on Saturday, then trying to fit in a Catholic service at Holy Cross Chuch in SC on Sunday morning and a trip to the Zen Center of Santa Cruz Sunday evening.
I’m contemplating switching out the Catholic church for a Baptist service since I was raised Catholic, thereby making my assimilation perhaps too easy? I dunno - need to think about it.
Also trying to fit in a trip to the Santa Cruz Church of Scientology, but I don’t know how their churches function/can’t find a listing of services…so that might be difficult.
If anyone has advice regarding how I should act/dress please please PLEASE help a sista out!
